Vernon General Municipal Elections

The City of Vernon holds regular elections for Council Members on the second Tuesday of April each year. One seat is filled each year and Council members serve five-year terms, for no more than two terms.

April 13, 2021 General Municipal Election 

The City will conduct its next General Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

The City of Vernon conducts all mail ballot election. Check your mail for your ballot beginning March 15, 2021. The last day to register to vote is March 29, 2021.

 

June 1, 2021  Special Municipal Election

A Special election will be held on June 1, 2021 to consider the questions of the Recall of Council Member Diana Gonzales (term ending April 2025) and Council Member Carol Menke (term ending April 2024); and

Election of Two (2) Members of the City Council to fill the vacancies if the recalls prevail.
