Gas Division
The City of Vernon has completed construction of our gas distribution utility for the use of all customers within the City’s boundaries. The gas system is comprised of over 44 miles of six-inch distribution main and seven miles of transmission pipe to provide for all of Vernon’s industrial needs. The Vernon Gas System can accommodate delivery pressures of up to 300 psig.
The Vernon Gas System offers businesses the following benefits:

- No downtime for crossover connection for current SoCal Gas users
- Two service plans to fit your company's requirements:
-Purchase your own gas and use Vernon's transportation system to deliver it to your location, or
-Allow Vernon to fulfill your supply and transportation needs
