Risk Management / Personnel Department
Thank you for visiting our department's web page and
for considering the City Of Vernon as a potential employer. Our goal
is to provide the City with the most qualified employees who will give
Vernon the highest quality service in support of City departments.
Risk Management / Personnel administers the following
programs:
- Employee recruitment and hiring.
- Liability claims filed against the City.
- Insurance review of contractors and vendors doing
business with the City, to ensure adequate insurance coverage. General
liability, auto, excess liability and workers compensation insurance
are included in review to protect the City from unforeseeable liability.
- Employee benefits including medical, dental, vision,
life insurance, retirement (Public Employees Retirement System), deferred
compensation, and workers compensation.
