Cross-Connection / Back Flow
The Cross Connection Control Program activities provides additional protection for the drinking water system. The function of the Cross Connection Control Program is to prevent the contamination of the water supply by the backflow of industrial fluids. Program activities include site inspections to review industrial processes and to identify potential cross connections between potable water supply lines and industrial fluids. It also requires the installation and annual testing of back flow prevention devices at locations where there is potential for industrial fluids to contaminate potable water supply lines.
A list of certified plumbers authorized to conduct annual inspections can be found on our "Forms & Applications" page.
