Cal ARP / RMP

The purpose of the California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) program is to prevent the release of regulated substances and to prevent off site impacts if a release occurs. The CalARP Program specifies detailed facility operational and management requirements to prevent a release of a regulated substance in addition to providing specific community-right-to-know procedures. The Vernon Health & Environmental Control Department is the local CUPA and the Administering Agency for the CalARP program within the City of Vernon. Facilities with more than the threshold quantity of a regulated substance (list of regulated substances is provided below) may be subject to the CalARP Program. For more information regarding the CalARP Program or for help determining if your facility is subject to CalARP, please contact the Vernon Health Department at (323) 583-8811 extension 231 or by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots.
