Fire Stations

Fire Station #1
Fire Station 1 serves two roles as both Fire Department Headquarters
and Training Center. It is here were Engine 11, Truck 111 and the
Command Vehicle are housed. Adjacent to the Station house, members
skills are expanded and honed in a wide range of fire service disciplines.
The facility includes a 3 story training tower and large tarmac
for traditional hose evolutions and ladder truck operations. To
coincide with the department's goal of providing the best customer
service possible, the fire department has constructed a state certified
confined space and urban search & rescure training facility.

Fire Station #2
Fire Station #2 is the home to Engine 12 and the Hazardous Materials unit 151.
All personnel residing at this location are trained to the highest
level, Hazardous Materials Specialist. This designation enables them
to respond and mitigate hazardous materials incidents within the
City of Vernon and beyond. Members perform weekly training with
chemical resistant suits, air-monitoring equipment, and perform
hazardous material identification within the mobile lab.

Fire Station #3
Fire Station #3 is the firehouse for Engine 13, Rescue 141, and
the USAR 161. Paramedics on Rescue #3 are trained in advanced life
support and respond on all emergency incidents. The recently acquired
USAR Squad is a unique apparatus carrying highly trained personnel
and equipment specializing in Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue,
High Angle Rope Rescue, Swift Water Rescue and Emergency Building
and Shoring.

Fire Station #4
Fire Station #4 is the firehouse for Engine 14 and 124. Through
our membership in the state wide mutual aid system, Engine 14 has
responded to many wildland fire incidents from Redding to San Diego.
This engine is also deployed in our local mutual aid system aiding
some of the surrounding cities with larger multiple alarm fires.
