Annual City Budgets

The City’s fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year.  The City Administrator submits a proposed budget to City Council for the ensuing fiscal year.  After receiving the proposed budget, City Council holds a public hearing after public notices are made available to the public by the City Clerk.  Once the proposed budget is adopted by resolution on or before June 30th by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City Council, it becomes the final budget which operates as an appropriation of funds for the purposes set forth in the budget.
