The Records Division of the Vernon Police Department is staffed Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sworn personnel are available during all other hours.
The Records Division maintains statistics for the department, city, and various State agencies. We also provide statistics to the public as requested. We maintain the integrity of these statistics by validating reports as our officers file them. After reports are validated, they distributed as needed and archived. Police Records also provides support services for the different divisions within the department, to the city at large and to the general public.
Copies of reports are typically available to the public within 7-10 days of the date of the incident. Our department charges 20 cents a page for a report, $1.75 for a certified report. Reports can be purchased Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Our department's Records Management System runs on a Windows Server 2003 network using VisionAir RMS software. This system allows us to track crime statistics and produce reports for various needs efficiently and with accuracy. It also allows us to meet the public's needs in a timely manner, making information available through a keystroke.
