
The Vernon Fire Department provides the finest emergency response services to our community covering fire protection, medical emergencies, urban search and rescue, and hazardous materials control. The Vernon Fire Department has been rated a Class I Fire Department by the Insurance Services Offices for over fifteen years; one of only nine Class I Fire Departments in the State of California.
The Fire Department Mission Statement reads: It is our purpose to protect lives, property and the environment by providing dedicated and skillful services. Through the provision of these services, our goal is to prevent and reduce the loss of life and property from the result of fire, medical and environmental emergencies. We achieve this goal by providing the highest level of customer care, hazard reduction and fire protection services.
