

Daniel D. Newmire, Councilman
Councilman Newmire has deep roots in the southeast Los Angeles area – his grandfather grew up in Huntington Park. He has been a resident of Vernon since 2007 and was appointed to fill-in a vacant seat on the City Council in July of 2009. Councilman Newmire was a firefighter/paramedic for ten years, rising to the level of Captain. Currently, Councilman Newmire owns and operates a speed and agility training school for young athletes, and continues his artistic endeavors designing and painting race car graphics.
